Bank Street Streetscape
New London, Connecticut

This mixed use development in downtown New London, CT includes retail uses on the ground floor and apartments on the upper levels. Kent + Frost designed a new streetscape that unifies the new architecture with the old and connects to the neighboring parklet honoring Christopher Columbus. Materials were chosen for their simplicity and durability. Hedge Maple, Acer campestre was chosen as a hardy urban street tree that would coexist under the overhanging power lines.
