Latimer Point Residence
Stonington, Connecticut

The new residence straddles a low ridge with spectacular views of Fishers Island Sound, marshes and coves.  Tight setbacks and regulations required a careful integration of architectural and landscape design.  The resulting landscape gracefully transitions interior to exterior spaces through terraces, stone steps and intimate garden spaces.  A swimming pool was carved out of the underlying granite ledge and nested into plantings and stone slabs.  All retaining walls and stone veneer were built with carefully sorted site stone.
